Corner Block

Cornerblock- In violin making, the ribs are glued to the blocks at the fusion points. The blocks at the middle bout of the instrument are called the corner blocks. Altogether there are 4 blocks for the upper and lower corners of the instrument. Pine, basswood, cedar or even willow wood is used here. Also refer to the making of a violin.
